Andrea Baptiste to Guide Leading Provider
of IP Service Creation and Activation Solutions for Carrier, Service Provider

has appointed Andrea Baptiste, formerly EVP of marketing and business
development at Atreus, to the position of chief executive officer. In
this role, Baptiste will lead the strategic direction of Atreus’
flagship products, the xAuthority™ Service Fulfillment OSS Solution
for wireline and wireless service providers, and the xAuthority™
Identity and Provisioning Solution for government and commercial enterprises.

Baptiste, currently a member of Atreus’ Board of Directors, brings
more than fifteen years of experience in the communications industry to
Atreus. In her previous role as EVP of marketing and business development
at Atreus, Baptiste successfully led and completed three rounds of venture
capital financing totaling $22 Million US. During her tenure in this position,
Baptiste secured major RFP wins, partnerships, and OEM agreements with
carriers, Tier 1 incumbent operations support system vendors, leading
systems integrators, and global telecom equipment vendors.
Prior to co-founding Atreus Systems, Baptiste was an early member of Cambrian
Systems, a metro DWDM equipment vendor that was acquired by Nortel Networks
for $300 Million US within two years of the company’s inception.
At Cambrian, Baptiste was responsible for global marketing and business
development where she successfully developed strategic marketing programs
that targeted the world’s largest providers of local telecommunications
services, competitive local carriers, and wireline and wireless service
providers.
Baptiste has established a solid track record in revenue
generation, building teams, and in launching strategic marketing programs,
while delivering quality products quickly and profitably. A veteran executive
in telecommunications networking, operations management, network and service
management, and mobile communications, Baptiste has held positions at
Cambrian Systems Corporation, CrossKeys Systems Corporation, TeleSat Mobile
Inc., and Newbridge Networks Corporation. Baptiste holds a B.A. Sc. (Honours,
Applied Science in Electrical Engineering) from Queen’s University
in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and has achieved accreditation as a Professional
Engineer of Ontario.
