8, 2002 - Atreus Systems,
a service fulfillment leader for IP-based network, application and content
services, today announced new members to its advisory board consisting
of telecommunications thought leaders Robert C. Hawk, Mark W. Senda,
Mike Pascoe, Patrick Smith, Peter Jollymore
and Martin Levetin.
The members are tasked with providing ongoing guidance
regarding Atreus' business opportunities, market and technical strategy.
They bring to the board extensive experience in fostering the growth
of successful companies and championing some of the industry's most critical
technological developments.

Robert C. Hawk
President of Hawk Communications, a national
Internet service provider based in Atlanta, Hawk also serves on the boards
of Covad Communications, Centillium Communications and several other
privately held high-technology companies. Previously, Hawk completed
a six-year tenure as president and CEO of US WEST Multimedia Communications,
Inc. From 1988 until 1996, Hawk served as president of US WEST's carrier
division. Prior to that, he served as vice president of marketing and
strategic planning for CXC Corporation, and as director of advanced systems
development for AT&T/American Bell.
Mark W. Senda
Senda is president and CEO of Xspedius, a telecommunications
pioneer with a history dating back to 1928, and Xspedius Management Co.
LLC, the successor to e.spire Communications and ACSI Network Technologies.
Senda came to Xspedius from AT&T Canada's Local Services division,
where as president, he ran a $200-million-plus business unit experiencing
a growth rate in excess of 100 percent annually. Previously, Senda served
as executive vice president and COO of Metronet Communications, senior
vice president of operations and engineering for Brooks Fiber Properties
and senior vice president of operations for MFS Telecom. He began his
management career at MCI Communications.
Mike Pascoe
Pascoe holds positions on several advisory
boards, including those of Anda Networks, Meriton Networks and Quarry
Technologies. He served as PairGain Technologies' president and CEO from
1999 until ADC Telecommunications acquired the company in 2001. Prior
to that, Pascoe held the position of president of Newbridge Networks'
U.S. division, after joining as one of the company's first employees
in 1986. Pascoe's telecommunications career began with Northern Telecom's
research-and-development arm. He subsequently served in product management
with Nortel and sales and marketing with Mitel Corporation, before, in
the 1980s, becoming general manager of Rockwell Telecom's Canadian division.
Patrick Smith
Smith chairs the advisory board of Celtic House & Wesley
Clover Investments, venture investments funds focused on broadband communications
technologies, and serves on boards for BMC, Callnet Enterprises & Sprint
Canada, Orchestream, March Networks and Microsoft. Earlier this year,
Smith completed a six-year tenure as Sprint's senior vice president of
systems integration and technology planning. Previously, he served as
chief technology officer at Comdisco and at SHL Systemhouse Inc. From
1972 through 1983, Smith worked as a lecturer and director of technology
at the University of Manitoba. More than 100,000 copies have been sold
of Smith's book, Client Server Computing, published in two editions.
Peter Jollymore
Jollymore chairs the board of iMagicTV, a provider
of software that enables delivery of interactive media services over
broadband networks, and sits on the boards of the Business Development
Bank of Canada and Callisto Media Systems. He has also served as a member
of Carleton University's president's advisory committee, Mount Allison
University's board of regents, and as acting dean of the faculty of Business
at the University of New Brunswick. Jollymore is retired after 31 years
of service with NBTel where his roles ranged from design engineering
to vice president of planning and marketing.
Martin Levetin
Levetin is a venture partner with Blueprint
Ventures, a next-generation venture capital firm helping build communications
companies. Prior to joining that company, he was president and CEO of
Sharegate, Inc., served as president and CEO of Socket Communications,
Inc., and was chief operating officer of CopperCom, Inc., which he co-founded.
Levetin began his telecommunications career at Bell Labs before moving
on to AT&T International, Andersen Consulting's Telecom Industry
Group and RAM Mobile Data - where, as senior vice president of RAM Mobile
Data, he oversaw the introduction of the first wireless email solutions
for mobile workers.
